Fingal Swifts

Fingal Swifts Special Olympics Club would like to invite our friends, families and supporters to attend the Swimming Gala 2011, taking place at ALSAA pool (beside Dublin Airport T2 and Aer Lingus HQ) on Thursday, 14th April 2011 from 19:00 to 20:00.

Founded in 2009, Fingal Swifts are a fully affiliated group within the Special Olympics Eastern Region.

Currently we have over 30 registered athletes and 20 registered volunteers.

The  aim of the club is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

This year we have one of our affiliated athletes participating in the Special Olympics World Games in Athens.

Sponsorship Cards are available from most volunteers, athletes and families.
